ZEEKR 8X launch is set for April 17 with 900V hybrid tech and up to 1030 kW

ZEEKR has set the 8X launch for April 17, 2026 at 19:00 China time in Ningbo. At this publication window the evening event has not happened yet, so the accurate price reference is still the presale ladder: 376,800 yuan for Max, 396,800 yuan for Ultra, 446,800 yuan for Ultra+ and 516,800 yuan for Yaoying.

The immediate-delivery note matters. It turns the 8X from a simple preview into a commercial launch, because buyers in this class compare delivery timing as closely as range and equipment.

The 8X uses Geely's SEA-S super-hybrid architecture and a full-stack 900V system. The flagship combines a 2.0T hybrid engine, a 145 kW generator and tri-motor electric drive rated at 1030 kW, with 0-100 km/h listed at 2.96 seconds.

The 70 kWh 6C hybrid battery supports up to 410 km CLTC electric range and 1416 km combined range. ZEEKR also claims 20-80% charging in 9 minutes at normal temperature, an unusually aggressive figure for a large plug-in hybrid SUV.

The cabin brief keeps the 8X in premium-family territory rather than making it only a performance headline. Sources list five- and six-seat layouts, adjustable seats, a rear OLED screen, 29-speaker Naim audio and cargo capacity from 1133 L to 2200 L.

The new-generation Qianli Haohan G-ASD system is a major part of the launch. The high-end H9 setup uses 43 sensors, triple 360-degree perception, five lidar units and dual Nvidia Drive Thor-U chips rated at 1400 TOPS. Real-road behavior still needs testing, but the hardware target is clear.
